Ewan Mclennan, winner of the 2013 AHMT Songs for Social Justice Award, has written and recorded a song called “Lampedusa”, about the journey of a migrant crossing the Mediterranean.
To quote Ewan:
“It’s a kind of response to the ongoing refugee crisis.”
All proceeds from the download of the track go to Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontiers – a fantastic charity whose work includes carrying out rescue operations in the Mediterranean, where many of the migrant’s boats are going down.
You can listen to and download the track at the link below. You can buy the track at just £1 – or whatever else you want to donate.
Any sharing of this much appreciated! Thanks.”
