AHMT Grant Application Guidelines

The Alistair Hulett Memorial Trust (AHMT) has two grants available.

The Artists Assistance Grant is for primarily aimed at individuals or bands looking for assistance for specific needs such as costs for touring.

The General Grant is primarily available for organisations or community groups to help meet a wide range of costs, including activities and events; equipment or materials; marketing and awareness-raising initiatives, fund raising activities and CD manufacturing.

AHMT Grants are available up to £300* (average grant awarded is £200). These awards are made up of money from donations to the AHMT by individuals and organisations, fund raising activities, CD sales and merchandise sold by the AHMT.
*Occasionally at the discretion of the AHMT Trustees grants above £300 will be made.

How to apply:

  1. You can apply at any time AHMT Grants by downloading the AHMT Grant Application, guidelines and notes (right click and select save as).
  2. Application forms should be signed and posted to the Alistair Hulett Memorial Trust 2/1, 66 Kenmure Street, Glasgow, UK G41 2NR.

Please make sure you read the guidelines below before completing your application, and give us all the information we require, including any supporting documents.

The application process takes approximately 8 weeks.
Please read the following text before beginning your application:

Grants are up to £300*
Organisations need to have income of under £50,000 in the last reporting period.

We will fund individuals, community groups, registered charities and social enterprises which promote the wider social justice agenda.

We cannot fund commercial or for-profit organisations; other grant-making organisations; medical research / equipment or repayment of debt.

There is no closing date for applications. Please bear in mind the 8 week turnaround time for a decision and apply well in advance of your project taking place.

Once you’ve received a grant, you can’t reapply for the same type of grant for 12 months.

Grant recipients must use the grant within 6 months.

Grant recipients must produce a report of no less than 200 words on the outcome of the funded project.

Trustees meet approximately every 6 weeks and the decision of the Trustees is final.
